Christopher Helmrath, Managing Director
  • With over 25 years of financial services experience representing public and privately held companies, Chris Helmrath's consulting practice concentrates in the following areas: corporate divestitures and acquisitions; raising debt and equity financing; management consulting; business valuations; and transaction advisory services.
  • Chris brings an excellent depth of experience across many industries including federal government contracting, information technology, banking and financial services, manufacturing, distribution, consumer products, business services, automobile dealers and not- for- profit institutions.
  • Chris was named one of SmartCEO Magazine’s "Top Advisors" in Maryland, was  recognized by the Baltimore Business Journal as one of "40 Under 40"  business leaders in the Baltimore business community. He is a frequent national and regional speaker and author on many issues affecting corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions, strategic planning, capital markets and business valuation. Chris holds academic positions in two graduate schools of business: Johns Hopkins University and Loyola College. He currently serves as the Director of the MBA Capstone Program at Johns Hopkins University in addition to teaching within the program. Additionally, Mr. Helmrath is a frequent contributor to the Baltimore Business Journal and the Washington Business Journal.

  • With 16 years of professional experience as an investment banker, consultant, and corporate manager, Joe Bradley brings a broad base of knowledge to the firm. His areas of specialty include transaction advisory, corporate development, business valuation, strategic planning, succession planning, and corporate finance. During his career, Joe has participated in transactions and conducted valuation engagements involving an aggregate of nearly $4 billion in assets.
  • Joe's areas of responsibility include the firm's transaction advisory, valuation, corporate finance, and business advisory practices. He conducts engagements involving high-tech companies, business service firms, manufacturers, distributors, real estate entities, retail operations, and healthcare entities. In addition, he is a frequent speaker on the issues of corporate development and enhancing / maximizing the value of closely-held firms.
  • He is currently on the Board of Directors of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Maryland, acting as Treasurer and a member of the Executive Committee. Joe is also a former board member of Meals on Wheels of Central Maryland and the Association for Corporate growth -- Maryland Chapter. In addition, he is an active member of several professional organizations, including the CFA Institute, the Baltimore Security Analysis Society and the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts (NACVA).

  • Steve has more than 11 years of financial experience representing companies in all aspects of the M&A process. He has focused on government contracting for more than nine years, advising companies on numerous client engagements including buy-side and sell-side M&A, divestitures, recapitalizations, and public offerings.
  • Prior to joining SC&H Capital, Steve was a Principal with Stifel Nicolaus where he worked with the largest public and privately held companies in the government space, as well as with leading private equity investors.
  • Steve brings a deep level of experience and understanding of the government contractor market and a strong network of relationships within the industry.
